2:30 some interesting predictions. https://lnkd.in/dEdgfVvsThe show ran for 40 years! Not sure what I’d predict 30 years from now. Mrs Browns Boys still on TV? Prisma to be Update to a workable platform? Quicker Trains to the north. Straws that work in water I can’t work out from this whether we are behind schedule or not. Important thing especially to not be replaced is to pivot and make sure you understand whatever that latest technology is

Great to catch up with the newest member of the SC Senate, Senator Tameika Isaac Devine on Bourbon in the Backroom. A great conversation about her journey back into public service, her priorities in the legislature and the difference between city council and the Statehouse. Plus, its our 100th episode and Vincent Sheheen and I take a look back at some of our favorite shows. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/e5yPdiUt#scpolitics #episode100 #bourbon #publicpolicy

It's not easy to sustain a commitment to doing a podcast like Center Left Radio for more than 7 straight years, and to rack up well over 800 produced episodes. And we've done it all on the strength of donations alone, with no commercial sponsorship or influence of any kind. But it's been well worth the effort and personally rewarding in too many ways to describe. I feel we've been true to our name––Center Left Radio––in our political positioning, and truer yet to our commitment to being 'the voice of hope, politics and jazz'. Today, centrists can't ignore the danger posed by a second Trump term, with the virtual destruction of the American governance system foreshadowed by recent Supreme Court decisions and as promised by 'The Handmaid's Tale' content of 'Project 2025.' (Read it! And don't believe for a second the lie that Trump knows nothing about it. It was created by the same folks who supplied him with his three Roe v. Wade-busting SC justices.)Of late, we've witnessed a significant uptick in listenership, largely European, and especially in Germany. This is understandable, given the the recent critical elections in both France and the UK, and the intense interest Europeans have in the outcome of our November elections. Overwhelmingly, they are deeply disturbed about the possibility of another Trump term and the damage it would do to international defense and commerce––not to mention America's standing among friends and enemies alike. The (relatively) positive outcomes for centrists in both France and England offer glimmers of hope. Please, take the time to listen to our most recent episode. We publish it as both a standard podcast and as a continually running 'radio loop'. Both versions are accessible from links found at https://lnkd.in/gA5STYh3. And let us know what you think. Thanks and Best Wishes,Richard
